Dr. Kieron Dunleavy is Director of Hematology at Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, Georgetown University, Washington DC. He is a Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University. Dr. Dunleavy completed oncology and hematology training in Dublin, Ireland and subsequently at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), Bethesda, Maryland, U.S.A. Following his fellowship at the NCI, he became a faculty member and later became Clinical Director of the Lymphoid Malignancies Branch at the NCI. He later was Director of Lymphoma at George Washington University, Washington DC. Dr. Dunleavy is an expert in lymphoid malignancies and his work has focused on the biology and treatment of lymphoid diseases. His interests include aggressive and indolent lymphomas and novel strategies in these diseases. He is the principal investigator on several lymphoma studies. He serves on the scientific advisory board of the Lymphoma Research Foundation and on the editorial board of several journals. He has over published over 150 publications and book chapters in the area of lymphoma biology and treatment.
