Dr. Stock is a Professor of Medicine where she is co-leader of the clinical/experimental therapeutics program in the University of Chicago Comprehensive Cancer Center. She currently serves as co-chair of the Leukemia Committee for Alliance for Clinical Trials, a NCI-sponsored clinical trials cooperative group that leads national and international trials in leukemia clinical research.
Dr. Stock is an expert in clinical and correlative laboratory research involving acute leukemias. Her focus has been to design biologically risk-adapted clinical trials for patients with acute leukemias, leading national trials for treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) that have helped to change the standard of care for young adults with this disease. Her laboratory focuses on translational research to evaluate novel targeted therapeutics using pre-clinical modeling and to assess the impact of targeted treatments on modulation of minimal residual disease states
Dr. Stock has received a number of awards including the Arthur Rubinstein Mentorship award from the University of Chicago, the Department of Medicine Resident teaching award, and the Distinguished Clinician award from the Biological Sciences Division of the University of Chicago, the Mentorship Award from the American Society of Hematology in 2020 and the Francis Straus Mentorship Award from the Biological Sciences Division of the University of Chicago in 2023.
